THE PROPHETS AND TRUTH
It is hard to believe
nowadays that prophets are extant because there are a lot of noises that
squelch their voices into irrelevance, or else, into insignificance. Topping
it, the prophets do denigrate themselves into becoming soothsayers!
Prophesying of events and not of the testimony of the change of a man.
The testimony which is about a man coming from darkness into the light
and from profanity into holiness and perfection.
An example to this typo of prophet who prophesy of events in the
New Testament is the prophet Agabus whom Paul met along in his ministry in
Jesus Christ.
Acts 11:27 And
in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
Acts 11:28 And
there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there
should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days
of Claudius Caesar.
As
alluded , the physical world is becoming more seductive to human curiosity,
in general, than the spiritual truth in terms of application in the daily
routine of life. People prefer instant and portable solutions which is
never always immediate. The Spirit is discerned and experienced in
the spiritual life because the Spirit do not profit in the flesh. Meaning, the
things of the spirit is not of the flesh and these two are at enmity with each
other.
Galatians
5:16 This I say then, Walk in
the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Galatians
5:17 For the flesh lusteth against
the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are
contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Romans 14:17 For the kingdom
of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the
Holy Ghost.
The spirit and the flesh are in conflict because these are not in
the same mind, ways, and world. The flesh functions in the world of pain and
pleasure but the spirit functions in the world of profane and holy.
The flesh is about meats and drinks and the riches of this
earth but the spirit is not. The flesh tends towards strife and division but
spirit is toward the unity of the spirits in the bond of peace. Having
said that there are worlds to recognize it also mean that there are truths to
understand behind and beyond the dynamics of life.
Truth is either constant or changing. The unchanging truth keeps a
man predictable and stedfast in the pursuit of change towards the image of God
while the variable truth keeps man relevant and valuable towards serving God.
Predictability and Stedfastness marks the way of the testimony of
the chosen man of God which is otherwise called the sure word of prophecy.
Whereas, relevance and value is the way of judgment and righteousness of faith
to keep the servant of God versatile in the so-called service to God.
As the world evolves in violence and corruption along with the
knowledge of witty inventions there also lies the compelling necessity to
change the laws because of transgression. In short, everyone today is a
transgressor of the testament of Jesus Christ which was the new testament then
present_ the testament which is in effect today after the death and resurrection
of Jesus.
This is the reason why we need a Mediator of a better and new
testament other than the testament of Jesus Christ. Surely, many will detest
this revelation because they will assert the things they know from the
scriptures saying that it is written Jesus has an unchanging priesthood in the
order of Melchizedek, thus, the idea of a change of the law necessitating a
change of priesthood is unreasonable and motu propio.
The speculations of man on many things about the written words in
the holy bible it is easy to understand and this is because they are void of
the spirit of truth. This is also the reason why the church is continually
being raped and ripped apart by those who try to interpret the written word of
God having not the Spirit. Matter of fact, they make merchandise of people out
of the word of God.
Now, if the laws and testimony that they adopt and teach and
prophesy are not in accordance with the voice of the Spirit it is because there
is no light in them. God is not with them!
Conversely, as Jesus entered into the heavens and the knowledge
about him while he was in the flesh is no more true and the same _ the truth
has changed because of the reason that we know him no more when he entered into
the heavens.
2
Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea,
though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
2
Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.
Therefore, as Jesus comes to the Father to prepare a place for
this generation, which Jesus we know no more, and will come again to appear the
second time to them that seek him, tagging along with him the new heavens
and the new earth _ the new Jerusalem to come down from heaven, our truth is no
longer the present truth and the light.
How can anyone be so sure of his knowledge about Jesus by the
written scriptures when the truth says otherwise? Jesus will come back in the
flesh but with a new narrative and name of God because of our transgression in
the testament of Jesus Christ.
In disbelief, the imams, mullahs, rabbis, pundits, pastors,
teachers, priests, scribes, da lai lamas, and evangelists of sort would lightly
declare or believe on the coming of the Jesus Christ who was and is both a man
of God and God himself by the name of
the Spirit as declared by an angel. The Spirit in Jesus is the Spirit of
God which is the Christ but Jesus is the name of that Spirit being in the
flesh. This is the reason why he is both man and God.
Needless to say, Jesus is a Prophet and a Priest and a King
and a Son of God and a Counselor and a Prince of Peace and a Mighty God and
Everlasting Father.
Now, the prophet is a man that has the spirit of the
Holy God in him (as disclosed to us in the bible):
Numbers 11:29 And
Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that
all the LORD’S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit
upon them!
Daniel 4:8 But at
the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to
the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy
gods: and before him I told the dream, saying,
Daniel 4:9 O
Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know
that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no
secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and
the interpretation thereof.
The prophet Joel have earlier prophesied of the coming of the Holy
Ghost as it will be poured out in the last days to bear the record from heaven!
Joel 2:27 And ye shall know that
I am in the midst of Israel,
and that I am the LORD your
God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
Joel 2:28 And it
shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour
out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
Joel 2:29 And also
upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour
out my spirit.
Jesus in prophecy, too, told his disciples that the Holy Ghost
will come to abide in them forever. This same Spirit is the one referred
to by Jesus as the Kingdom of God or Kingdom of Heaven which is his spiritual
idiom or language arcane to his disciples. In fact, he tried to reveal
this Spirit and explain to them in hours, days, years, and several
occasions of teaching.
Matthew 6:33 But seek
ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you. (Same as the First Great Commandment
saying, Love God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul,
and with all your might)
Matthew 12:28 But if I
cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come
unto you.
THE PROPHECY OF THE SPIRIT COMING BY JESUS
John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he
may abide with you for ever;
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom
the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all
things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 15:26
But when the Comforter is
come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the
Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for
if I go not away, the Comforter will not
come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
The prophet of God is also the Minister of the Spirit to put the
Spirit upon men as God wish or purpose upon men. Below, we can see the messengers of King Saul being
given the Spirit and Saul himself who cannot control himself but act the way
what the spirit would will upon him. The prophet of God is a minister of
the spirit and not only a minister of the word.
1 Samuel 10:10 And when they came thither to
the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of
God came upon him, and he prophesied among
them.
David Escaping from certain death as King Saul wanted him dead
which reveals the power of the spirit and the spirit being ministered by Samuel
the prophet.
1 Samuel 19:18-24
18So David
fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had
done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
19And it was told
Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in
Ramah.
20And Saul
sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the
company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon
the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
21And when it was told
Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent
messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.
22Then went he also to Ramah, and
came to a great well that is in Sechu:
and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and
David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
23And he went thither
to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and
he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
24And he
stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and
lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore
they say, Is Saul also among the
prophets?
Moreover,
it must be known that there were prophets of God who became brutish and foolish
because of the filth in their flesh and spirit considering that the Spirit of
God was in them:
1) Balaam
the Prophet of Moab
Jude 1:11 Woe
unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran
greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and
perished in the gainsaying of Core.
Numbers 22:12 And God
said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with
them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.
Nehemiah 13:2 Because
they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse
them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.
Micah 6:5 O
my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and
what Balaam the son of Beor answered
him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of
the LORD.
2) Miriam
the Prophetess sister of Moses: confronted Moses because he married an
Ethiopian Woman which is against the Law which was declared unto them by Moses
himself by the Spirit of God
Exodus 15:20 And Miriam
the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her
hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with
dances.
Numbers 12:1
And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because
of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian
woman.
3) The
prophet Zedekiah (angry with Micaiah also a prophet) who had the spirit of God,
by passion and obfuscation, smote Micaiah on the cheek: having the spirit of
God does not mean it is the end of walking in the Spirit
1 Kings 22:24 But Zedekiah the son
of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the
cheek, and said, Which way went the spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto
thee?
Lo, this is the reason why all men are advised to try every
spirits whether they are of God because the spirit can easily shift or hide
from a man as he becomes corrupted, polluted, and defiled. Yea, God will
destroy them which defile the temple of God.
Measuring
the spirits whether they are of God suggest that one must use the unchanging
truth which is the just weight and just balance. The variable truth which is
narrative-dependent is of no use to knowing the spirits but for the service to
God.
1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe
not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because
many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Today, the prophets live and certainly they are just somewhere
lurking in meekness and humility in the holy places of God.
If man were to seek the people of God, and the true Church, and
Jesus who will appear the second time find a place where the doctrine is about Godliness
and the Gospel is on the Fear of the Lord, Judgment of God, the Glory of God
and Worshipping God in the Spirit and in the Truth.
Moreover, the teaching must be in holiness and perfection in the
language of the spirit, hence, look for the church which teaches about the
unchanging and changing truth which is the Spirit and the kingdom of God!
Many will say that the teaching on perfection is impossible
because no one is perfect or will be perfect on this earth. Nevertheless,
it is written, with men it is impossible but with God it is possible. The
reason it is possible is because it is by the Spirit and not by Might nor by
the power of man. The Spirit is the creator, the teacher, the comforter,
the power and the authority and the author and finisher of our faith and the
captain of our salvation!
Learn from the story of King Saul where he has no control over
himself but the Spirit, hence, the truth that man is saved by grace and not of
oneself and not of works which is by the self.
The Spirit makes a man perfect, hence, when they are sent unto men
we are created in his image, and so, seek the church where the spirit is
ministered and not only the word of God for the perfect church both minister
the Word of God and the Spirit of God.
The laws of the perfect church is not limited to the written words
in the scriptures only but by command, meaning, the voice of God is there
leading and guiding them. This is the prophet but, again, be wary and
discern for deception is the warfare of Satan and there are seducing
spirits.
So then, it is clear that the truth (changing and unchanging) is
declared by the man sent by God who is the prophet for, truly, God is sending
his servants. The unchanging truth is for everyone's use to weigh and
measure and know the spirits whether they are of God and the changing truth is
for the work of the ministry, the edifying of the church and the perfecting of
the saints.
Jeremiah 23:21 I have not sent these
prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
Conversely, Romans 10:13-17 avers
that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God! The word that
comes from the man whom God will send that we should hear and believe.
Therefore, any church that do not have the man of God or the
servant of God that is able to minister the word and the spirit is an occult!
Further, any church that has only one prophet or, much worse, only have one
wise man is a sham. The church of God has two or three prophets and the other
is the judge of them all! The true church also has eye-witnesses of the God
manifested in the flesh _ immanent God. Any church that is led by one and is
not connected to the truth and the light is a sham and an occult!
1 Corinthians 14:29 Let
the prophets speak two or three, and let
the other judge.
2 Kings 21:10 And the
LORD spake by his servants the prophets, saying,
Seek for a church that do have prophets speaking the word of God
in holiness, in righteousness, in judgment, in the fear of the Lord, in truth,
and in the Spirit. The true prophet teaches of the everlasting covenant, the
everlasting gospel, and everlasting life which is the Spirit.
