There many factors a man will have to consider in his pursuit to reading and understanding the word of God in the Holy Bible. Some seekers of the truth or readers of the scriptures mistake the words written in it (by the author or the witness of God's works and testimonies) as if all the words in the Bible were the Words of God. They forget that the Holy Bible is a book consisting of words of men who are witnesses inspired of the Holy Ghost, words of revelation from God by the prophet and the voice of God himself. The Bible also contains the words of angels and the devils or shall we say unclean spirits.
A squint look at these words can result to a different interpretations of its context and a different understanding of the Word of God or the bible itself which would lead a man into teaching another Jesus or another gospel or make man receive another spirit. Worse, a seeker of truth will find the Bible a book of errors, and ambiguities, and contradictions making him to avoid it and seek another book having not the understanding on how the Holy Bible was written. The above case is just one of the causes or one of the sources of the wrong understanding of the Holy Bible.
To demonstrate the source of errors and misinterpretations in the Holy Bible is to take the examples as follows:
a. The verses below came from David, a man. Hence, the idea that a man is made by God a "little lower than angels" is an expression by David which he perceived in his experience in obeying to the commandments of God. David saw the war in the spirit where a man has no chance of winning it. The words spoken by David, however, carries with it a Spirit of Prophecy which confirm the words of David as a word that came from God as this was fulfilled during the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. The words saying, "man was made a little lower than the angels" do not, however, prove that it is the Word coming from God himself if we take it from the point of view regarding the value of man in the eyes of God as he was originally designed and conceptualized.
David's words
Psalms 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Paul's words
Hebrews 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
The verses below will confirm the value of man, in the eyes of God, even, as God is saying that man was made in His likeness and image purposely to have dominion over every living thing
26
Genesis 1:26 And
God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
In another place, God said, that He will create man to be more precious than fine gold, yea, He (Jesus the Son of God) said that man is more than the lilies and the birds.
Jesus words
26Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28Matthew 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29Matthew 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Isaiah 13:12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir
Man in the eyes of God is truly his creation more than any other living creature in this world! Man was originally designed to be superior than the Devil and his angels and the creation of man continues till today because he will need to attain the state of having dominion over all the living creatures on earth, as he was blessed of God, most especially over himself.
The fall of Adam and Eve at the garden of Eden is a story of how man devalued himself and became a creature lower than the angels. Man was and is to be created to overcome the world whose god is Satan. Man's creation will only begin when he becomes the dwelling of the spirit of the Holy God _ a temple and a sanctuary of God, so to speak.
30
Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
When the spirit of God comes to dwell in a man the same makes a man to walk in the spirit and to walk in the spirit is to have an experience in the spiritual life. This experience makes a man to know the spirits along the path enabling him and equipping him to discern spirits in the future, yea, even the manner of spirit that dwells in him.
Going back, the errors and misinterpretations in the Holy Bible come from the inability or handicap of man to fully comprehend what is written. Examples in history would tell us that Stalin and communist Russia misinterpreted the philosophy of Marx and Engels just as Hitler and the Nazis did to the philosophy of Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzche. The aphorisms stated by a book from a particular author can easily fit into the void mind of an evil man making him a different person from what was originally conceptualized or designed or purposed as to be understood by the target audience or reader.
The inability of man to see through the time and space and the noumenon where God displayed his works makes a man half as he is purposely designed to understand, hence, the errors and the misinterpretations.
When God drowned the ancient world because of the evil of their imagination was supported by the epoch of Moses' ministry to destroy and occupy the holy land of Canaan where the Hivites, Hittites, Girgashites, Jebusites, Amorites, Canaanites and Perizzites lived abominably. All these were overthrown because of their sins. Even earlier, Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden because of their sin. Obviously, man is being separated from God because of SIN.
Now, in the time of Jesus the things seen by men were the very acts of Jesus dying on the cross for the SINS of men. The era of Jesus was love and loving the enemies. People missed seeing the very reason why Jesus has to die on the cross which was purposely destroy SIN or condemn SIN in the flesh. The TRUTH is that God is all the time taking away SIN so that man may become once again a creature that can move towards the creation line of eventually dominating the whole of the world to include the Devil and his angels!
It is clear that man is unable to see through the works of God which is destroying SIN and death (second death). Man will have to see the TRUTH that as he is being emancipated from the bondage of SIN on this earth, or from the fear of death, the blessings which God gave to man from the beginning will eventually emerge true and man will believe that God is true and His words are true. Simply put, God is the TRUTH!
Seeing the works of God through time and space or the noumenon the truth and the revelation will appear smack in the face of a man saying, God never changed _ he was and is and is to come angry with SIN. The Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation SIN is the center of gravity of the fall of man from the Grace of God.
Man tends to look at a particular event in the Holy Bible and foolishly question why God did it or allowed it to happen contrary to his precedent laws or judgments. Man normally fails to see the body of work of God and his power. Meaning, the whole work of God is bounded by his own purpose, will, intent, time, judgment, counsel and pleasures (P2WITJC). Afterall, the TRUTH says that the whole of his creation were created for his pleasure.
Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Today, there are many truth inventors, and truth creators. Meaning, they have made themselves as gods whose creations are all bereft of the spirit of God. It brings or causes no change in a man but teaches man to fight against God. These people brings a form of godliness but they deny the power of God, meaning, they are teaching the empowerment of men apart from the power of God to become holy and perfect, as if to say, that it is attainable by might or by power!
Know, that the Holy Bible is only rightly understood and interpreted in the Holy Spirit of God and not by the own spirit of man and within the bounds of the P2WITJC of God. The P2WITJC is a divisor of God to all his words and works for man to understand the TRUTH.
