UNDERSTANDING THE WAYS OF GOD IN INTERPRETATION

       One can just speculate how Paul shared his experience to Felix concerning judgment, temperance, and righteousness which prompted the latter to tremble. If there is ever a preacher today who would talk about the subjects on judgment, temperance, and righteousness how would it ever be delivered to men that they may believe and tremble?

       Again, by the command of God one can only speculate on how the prophet Jonah the son of Amittai expressed the word of God to the people of the city of Nineveh of Assyria which prompted them to tremble and caused them to humble before God.

       Clearly, in the Book of Daniel chapter 5 the spirit is the enabler of a  man in the flesh to interpret the language of God which no man can ever  know and understand.  The interpretation of the words written by the hand of God on the wall MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN which made Belshazzar tremble on his knees  and troubled his mind was rightly interpretted by Daniel the dissolver of doubts, confusion and sources of fear. The telling story about Daniel is that he had an excellent spirit, the spirit of knowledge of fear of the Lord, the spirit of understanding and the spirit of prophecy and interpretation

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of fear of the LORD;
Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit Of Prophecy
1 Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

       The man who has the spirit of fear of the LORD in him when he teaches and preaches the word of God will make the devils believe and tremble! Appropriately, the work of the ministry of God is a demonstration of spirit and power.

       Conversely, the scholars of the Bible stay in the colleges in the ancient days who has the authority to interpret the Word of God.  The Bible interpreters in the colleges are mainly the prophets with the Spirit of God whose words are transcribed by the scribes in the scrolls as first observed in the time of the prophet jeremiah and Baruch and then of Huldah the prophetess at Jerusalem.

2 Kings 22:14 So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.

2 Chronicles 34:22 And Hilkiah, and they that the king had appointed, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college:) and they spake to her to that effect.

       Nowadays, the Bible schools, seminaries, colleges, and universities are teaching the ways of interpreting the scriptures such as by exegesis, eisegesis, metagesis, hermeneutics, homiletics and many more. in the absence of the Spirit these are just but speculations and a fruit of imagination and emotion of men. The batting average of the factor of success of interpreting the holy scriptures using these ways is ZERO.

    This is clearly proven in the Old and the New Testaments when all of the scholars of various stripes and color misinterpreted the Bible prophecies using their speculations, own ways, own spirit, and not by the Spirit of God or by the prophet of God. Because of this, they ended up crucifying Jesus the Christ.  The Bible says, that interpretation belongs to God_ meaning, by men who have the holy spirit of God and sent by God.

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

       Apparently, the whole world is not learning lessons by what the Bible is telling in its teachings, writings and the prophets.  The New Testament is a witness and testifies to what the Old Testament have said about God and his works, ways, mind and manner.

       Man can only approximate by his own interpretation about what God has to say for him, after all, no man has ever known the plan of God in a specific time and for a specific generation except it be revealed, declared, or decreed.  The stories from heaven and the narratives of the servants of God are obviously continually changing.  No one can claim understanding until God would reveal it through his prophets.

       It is noteworthy, the holy scriptures both old and new are only written after the fact has happened.  It was never written first and then things unfold.  The truth is in the reverse, meaning, Moses first lived and declared things by his voice and afterwards came the writings about his life testimony and his people.  Jesus, too, lived his life and his ministry unto the death on the cross, after which, came the writing of the New Testament.  What does this mean to us? It means that the servants and the messengers and the prophets of God are simply declaring the messages of God through them unto the chosen generation or people which is, by and large, remotely connected to the already written and expressed scriptures in their times.

       So Jesus was perceived as having changed the laws on Sabbath and on food and on many things affecting the Jewish tradition while he lived and walked on earth teaching his disciples and in the synagogues. He was and is the Son of God. The scholars and the priests holding unto their written laws by their proud spirits persecuted and executed Christ on the cross fulfilling what God has foretold about Jesus Christ in the mount Olives.

       Today, one can hardly find a true prophet and a teaching priest who has the laws of the true God. Back then, it is clear that the existence of the holy scrolls or holy books read in the synagogues every sabbath does not mean that it is the present Word of God, or aptly, the voice of God.  The letters signify the absence of the Spirit but the voice signifies the presence of the Spirit, hence, the prophets with the voice of God.

2 Chronicles 15:1 And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

2 Chronicles 15:3 Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
2 Chronicles 15:4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
       The point here is clear _ that Christ or his servants will have to manifest first in the flesh and declare prophecies and laws unto this generation and his people.  It is only then that we can be assured that our interpretation is of God because He will minister the spirit unto his chosen people and not the words written.

6
2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

       Today, we can only see and hear people who minister the word and never the one who minister the Spirit. If there is ever a preacher or an evangelist who claims that he is of God, beloved, try their spirits whether they are of God as we are commanded to discern, know, and try it.

2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

       The ministers of God are the servants who undergo through the process of sanctification, justification, and perfection becoming the very vessel of honor of God. The reason behind all these is the plan of God on creation that they may do service to Him in return. Salvation is only and intermediate phase for one to be created in true holiness and perfection for the eventual service or the work of the ministry.

       There goes the saying that good works follow after salvation.  Know that salvation is not the telos of a man's existence here on earth being with God.  Salvation is only a motivation. To focus on salvation, rewards, prize, and promise is selfish.  Man is to serve God even as Jesus served even unto the death on the cross.

      Verily, verily, the interpretation of the word of God is only by the Spirit, and by Spirit, it means that each word, phrase, sentence, paragraph, chapter and book needs to be examined and validated by the Voice of God.

      Now there are an infinite number of spirits in the holy and profane spirit continuum and to name a few are the following spirits of the Lord such as: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of fear of the LORD.

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of fear of the LORD;

      The significance of the spirits are that they are the standards of interpretation of the Word of God.  Therefore, to interpret the words in the bible apart from the Spirits will be speculative, intuitive, purely a figment of one's imagination and worse a product of emotion.

      Now, the interpretation is also dependent of the truth of God as by his purpose, will, intent, time, judgment, and counsel.  Meaning, by the requirement of God the spirits of the times (like the time to love, the time to hate, the time to heal, and the time to kill, among others) are the only relevant spirits which should guide the interpreter like in the prophecies.

      Interpretting by the spirit is not a private interpretation thing like using the human intuition, speculation, imagination, and worse the emotion. As everyone is enjoined to know and try every spirits whether they are of God the interpretation by the spirit is clearly a move which reflects the denied-self-interpretation of the Word of God.

      Further, knowing that the mind of God is not the mind of a man and the ways of God is not the ways of man it only strengthens the claim and the proposition that the interpretation by the spirit is the only right way and never the ways the people of this world use in interpretting the scriptures if it is to be used for the perfection and the sanctification of the saints.

      In conclusion, and again, be wary of the leaven of the Bible scholars, priests, and pastors who have not the Spirit of God who make an idol god out of the words written in the scriptures.  God is the sole interpreter of the Bible and God is a Spirit whose power is in the eternal and the temporal world.  In fact, the interpretation of the scriptures is not the issue with God but his decrees, and revelation for this generation.  Remember, that the act and the testimony of God always comes first the written scriptures only follow after-the-fact.

     The error of man is always on their attempt to interpret the scriptures by their own regarding the testimony of God who manifested himself in the flesh in the past and not by the spirit of revelation which comes from God by his servants who will and is manifest in the flesh.  Be not deceive.
