There is a place where God would chose to place or declare
his name. This is the reason why God had
so many names recorded in the past. In
the time of Abraham, God had so many names everywhere he went and built an
altar.
Deuteronomy
12:21 If the place
which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be
too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the
LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates
whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
Deuteronomy
16:11 And thou shalt rejoice
before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy
manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within
thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among
you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to
place his name there.
The story of calling on the name of God is two-sided. God’s name evolved when men call upon him by
their own emotion and volition according to what they ascribe to him to be His
name and God’s name also evolved as God declared it to men at other times and in other places by HIMSELF through his angels.
There was a time when God did not have a name declared unto
men; but men began to call on the name of God which was recorded in the time of
Enos. There are, further, lots of
instances recorded of man calling on the name of God according to what they
love to call Him and according to the meaning they ascribe to Him. Hagar, for example, called God’s name Beer-la-hai-roi
meaning, Thou God seest me. Abraham called his God Je-ho-vah-ji-reh and Moses
called his God who is the same God in another place Je-ho-vah-nis-si.
Genesis 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was
born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the
Lord
Genesis 16:13-14 And she called the name of the Lord
that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said,
Have I also here looked after him that seeth me? Wherefore the well was called Beer-la-hai-roi;
behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
Genesis 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that
place Je-ho-vah-ji-reh.
Exodus 17:15-16 And Moses
built an altar, and called the name of it Je-ho-vah-nis-si: for he said,
Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from
generation to generation.
There could have been no other recorded times in the
scriptures which have confused the people about God and his Name than in the
times of Abraham and Moses: for these two called on several names of God
according to what they ascribe to him and according to what God declared to
them of His name.
Unto Moses God revealed his name to be I AM THAT I AM (Exodus
3:13-14) and later said that His name is JE-HO-VAH which name was not known to Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob for He appeared to them in the name of God Almighty (Exodus 6:2-3). So God declared his
name to men in different times and places which men eventually call him and there is a
time and place when men call his name according to what they ascribe to him.
The stories above are the reasons why God has so many names
in various places and peoples in the world.
The Name is actually that Spirit so that anyone who has the Spirit has
the Name though that man would not mention of the Name of GOD.
The sons of Sceva are the perfect examples of the power of
the Spirit and not the Name of God. We can recall them using the name of Jesus
Christ to exorcise a devil but the name Jesus did not work for them as they did
not have the spirit in them (Acts 19:13-16). Paul, therefore, aptly warned all believers saying,
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if
ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which
ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with them (2
Corinthians 11:4).
This further reveal to us that the other name of Satan is
Jesus, too, therefore, strive to have the Spirit by being clean and holy and
perfect in him. Whosoever then is not
teaching of holiness and perfection and of the Spirit is the Devil himself. The devilish religion will never teach and
enable a man to try every spirits whether they are of God, hence, these are not
able to discern the spirits and will always fall into the snare of the
devil.
Have you ever met a religion that is teaching of holiness and
perfection and the Spirit of God? Have you ever met a religion that is teaching
how the Spirit will dwell and how will one be able to hit the mark of the high
calling of God? Have you ever known of a church teaching its people of the mind, manner, works and ways of God? Well, if you have not
yet known or met such which teaching is not according to the flesh: my counsel
is for you to kneel, and humble, and pray, and seek His face with all you heart
and with all your mind and with all your might.
Surely, man will know the Spirit and his Name by himself if he is able to cast out the devil which is firstly, inside himself and, secondly,
those of the others who are outside of him being possessed by the devil.
So the Name of God is tested and proven whether it is of God if the man
claiming to have known His name and have obeyed his commands is void of sin, blame,
blemish, spot and wrinkle. So declare the name of your God but weigh your ways, actions, fruits and spirits. Weighing-in things will reveal the very God you
have whether it is really God or not. In a quick look, one can easily see,
superficially, whether he is of God by the fruits which he exhibit or manifest
in his present life.
In the Name of God there is a ministry involved where every
controversy and stroke is tried.

18:5 For the LORD thy God
hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of
the LORD, him and his sons for ever.

21:5 And the priests the sons
of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to
bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and
every stroke be tried:
Everyone is warned that in the last days many will come in the name of Jesus to deceive many. By and large, there will be no other name that will be used to deceive but the name JESUS. Be, therefore, extra wary and careful and try every spirit whether they are of God. Any NEW NAME of God will never deceive people for it will only be rejected by men in the first place. However, the NEW NAME of God will be easily known to be of Him because it will fulfill all righteousness which is the Righteousness of the Law and the Righteousness of Faith. The Holy scriptures will testify of Him. Amen

Nowadays, debates between Christians and Muslims are hot. At the end of every debate, however, is always very little or no gain to profit. Debates only widen the gap between believers making the atheists, agnostics and skeptics laugh and clap.
Watching debates is always amusing as everybody are trying to outsmart and outwit each other. My take and my observation, however, is that debates make God a weak being because He as God do not need anyone to defend Him. Debates only reveal how dogmatic and biased people are. Had the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding live and reign in the hearts of men today debates will never be a commonplace for it is written, no one shall teach one another and everyone will worship his God.
People should understand that God who is a Spirit is sending his prophets, evangelists, teachers, pastors, imams, rabbis who has gone through the process of creation, that is, from being "born again" into being "born of water and spirit", and, finally into being "born of God". The greatest among these is the Son of God who is born of God, meaning, he has the Spirit of God dwelling in him.
The ones called "born of water and spirit" are they whose spirits are created in His image and likeness being conformed and transformed to the will of God. The ones called "born again" are they who are diligent in spirit, faithful in the words, virtuous in deeds, powerful in knowledge, temperate in all things, patient, Godly, kind and bearing the fruit of love. The ones born of God are the they who have the Spirit of God and is the dwelling place of the Spirit of God.
Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Further, it should be understood that God the Spirit is sending his prophets, evangelists, teachers, pastors, imams, rabbis and his Son to different places and times.
The Biblical history reveals that Abraham was a prophet of the chosen seed of God (later called Israel) and Mel-chi-se-dech was a priest of God in Salem at the same time. In another time and place, Moses and Miriam were prophets in Israel while Balaam was also a prophet in Moab. In the days of King Jeroboam of Israel and King Rehoboam of Judah there was a prophet in Judah and there was also a prophet in Bethel at the same time. Prophets and messengers of God abound in the ancient times.
Genesis 20:7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet (Abraham), and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
1 Kings 13:11 Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
181 Kings 13:18 He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
The point here is that God raises prophets in different places declaring different laws on different people. Consider also this, the Levites had a separate law from the Nazarites of Judah. The generations of Ishmael have a different law on his people from the generation of Isaac and his people. The Philistines also have their prophets who gave them counsel on how the Ark of the Covenant should be conducted back to Israel while Israel and Judah had their prophets, too!
The point here is that all nations and people are being provided with their respective prophets and laws. The laws and prophecies of Jesus Christ the Son of God and the prophecies and laws of prophet Mohammed are rightly divided by time and place and people. There is really no reason for debate or controversy should everyone understand God's work.
Even so, concerning the Name of God which is Allah for Islam, JAH for the Rastafarians, and Jesus for the Christians _ we know that God records his name in every place and time. The argument on the name and right doctrine is even preposterous because God has been changing laws and His name inside Israel which was the reason why Jesus was crucified. Israel developed a dogma among themselves which makes the the work of the Spirit difficult for them to accept.
The truth, however, is that God is alive and is raising prophets for his people to decree laws, to reveal His Name, and to establish covenants. Presently, the world must understand the works and ways of God for the time is coming when the will of God will stand for everyone not to teach each other and for everyone to walk with his own god while the people of God will walk with God.
Numbers 11:29 And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD'S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!
Interestingly, the world trend of majority of Christians getting jumpy over the issues on 666, the antichrist, the one world government, and the rise of the beast paves way for the fulfillment of a unified but divided world.
So, the name is not an issue but the Spirit which must come to dwell in everyone that the fruits thereof may manifest which is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Aptly, did Jesus say, by their fruits ye shall know them.

Many people have called on the name of God but being wicked and abominable and having not the Spirit made that Name ineffective. Strive to have the Spirit of God and the Name will become powerful. In fact, Jesus did not use his name Jesus to raise Lazarus back to life and in many healing and exorcism testimonies. Jesus was obviously not baptized in the name of Jesus by John the baptist.
James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Finally, the holy Name of God is not to be blasphemed but know that names, just as names are, do have their evil mirror on the profane side of God's creation _ Jesus is also the name of Satan the deceiver! Therefore, to have the Spirit of God is far better than knowing the Name of God. Do we then stop calling on the name of God? God forbid, we also call on the name of our God.
