Rodrigo Roa Duterte (Du30) a mayor from the city of Davao and a believer of one God is all that I know of him in person. However, the Spirit would not lie that it would reveal the spirit that is in him (Duterte).
Many among the spiritual community have either tried to endear themselves to him, others have speculated on him and the others have hated him especially the Catholic Bishops (hopefully only some of them).
Many, also, are confuse why he would declare himself as a believer of Allah and at times profess to believe in Jesus. This is proof enough that he indeed is a believer of one God. He believes that Allah and Jesus are one and the same in the Spirit. Yea, you may try to ask him whether he believes in Buddha and he would tell you verily, Yes!
Believe it or not no man on earth is given the power and the authority except it is permitted from above by God. A man may be evil or a man may be good in the sight of men but only God in the Spirit can tell whether he is evil or he is good.
The secret here is the purpose, and the will of God, and the time of God. The time of God may, perhaps, be a time to kill, and to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down. The ultimate purpose, however, is to Create.
Jeremiah 1:10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant.
Duterte is the hand of God against evil witting or unwitting. This event in our history is no different from the spiritual experience of Israel. Jehu an evil man was anointed to become king of Israel to execute judgment unto the house of king Ahab and to Jezebel his wife being evil.
Jehu was an evil king in the eyes of men even as he is in the eyes of God. Yet, he was chosen to execute the will of God. God even promised to him that his sons would become kings until the fourth generation, which indeed happen. Therefore, there is a will of God which is, shall I put it in my own words, blind to evil and good. Jesus accepted the will of God for him to die on the cross.
Revelations 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
In another case, the Kings of Egypt and Assyria and Philistines and Babylon were used by God to subdue Israel and Judah making them captives because of the evil of their doings.
Amos 9:5 And the Lord of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
Amos 9:6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.
Amos 9:7 Are ye not as children of Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the Lord. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
Yea, God is doing this to all nations who have forgotten and have forsaken him to worship other gods because all his ways are judgment (Deuteronomy 32:4). This truth is evident unto the works which he did to the seven (7) nations of old and to Sodom and Gomorrah. This truth is evident in the New Testament as he blinded Elymas the sorcerer, killed Ananias and Sapphira, turned king Herod into a beast, and gave Hymenaeus and Alexander to Satan. God has not changed in that He is angry with the wicked everyday. God is angry at sin. God did not change in that He drowned the whole world because of the evil of their imaginations only just as Jesus said, to hate a brother is to be a murderer and to look at a woman with lust is adultery. God looks at the thoughts and imagination of the heart.
Going back, God is using Duterte to perform his will and to do it against all odds. No one man can say that this thing is evil or that thing is bad because there is a Will of God unknown to men. In fact, Pilate was used to give way to the will of God for Jesus to be crucified for this was the plan and the will of God upon Jesus.

Luke 9:31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
Now, there are men whom God is using without them knowing just like Judas Iscariot.
One thing is clear in our story about president Duterte he is a man with a mission, and now, by the ways of God he must, however, be made aware of the Manner of God and must have the Fear of the Lord. If there is no one teaching him of the truth in the spirit of Truth it is that we will expect a rough ride in his term, yet, by the Will of God if he will stay then this nation shall rise.
The danger on Duterte is when the time of God will change for there is a time to kill and a time to make alive, a time to throw stones and a time to gather stones, a time to love and a time to hate. Who can tell him this? Verily, he needs a man with the Spirit of God who can tell him of the time of God and the counsel of God and the Judgment of God.
All that Duterte will have to do is to pray to God in the spirit and not to confer with men not even to any pastor, priest, imam, yogi or an enlightened man not filled with the Spirit of God. There is a spirit of man and there is a Spirit of God.
Now, Duterte is not a member of any religious sect or denomination though he believe in one God. Duterte is a servant of God outside of the church of God for all are servants of God.
Psalms 119:91 They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.
His calling is not spiritual, that is, to serve the living God. He is called to serve the Filipinos only but not toward God in the direct and spiritual terms. Simply put, his calling is not to perfect the saints, to work the ministry of the spirit, and to edify the church of God.
Duterte who believes in one God, but for the lack of knowledge about God, will either make or unmake himself because he will need the Spirit of God to dwell in him for him to be safe always and make right decisions if only to protect the people of the Living God who loves and hails this country.
So to measure Duterte in the Spirit is to see him as unclean and defiled and corrupt for evil communications corrupt good manners; however, according to the will of God he is just right for the moment in our history. God is longsuffering.
Now, one must not expect anything according to the knowledge and standard of good in the eyes of man from Duterte for the president is walking according to what is right in his own eyes. This kind of goodness is relative, hence, the diverse opposition coming from the approximately 18 million people who did not vote for Duterte.
On the contrary, the goodness of God is absolute to them who know and obey and believe.
So we can see that the flesh and the spirit is at enmity with each other even as theocracy can never last or is possible on earth if the people will not become spiritual by cleansing themselves from the filth of flesh and spirit or is mortified of its lust. The truth is because the kingdom of God is not of this earth and because with God the flesh will profit nothing that is temporal from his teachings, and his doctrine, and his commandments.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Therefore, to them who think that they are spiritual, let them pray; for the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man avails much. Duterte is a man with a mission of his own and is not a man of God ordained to execute the mission of God. Duterte is a man of this world. Duterte is a man who believes in God but do not have the faith in God for faith is not the same as belief in God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Belief is in the domain of the spirit of man but faith is the domain of the holy spirit of God. Pray for him.
Recently, he made the biggest mistake in his life by telling a story that God talked to him and later denied such as if to say there is no God. This attitude is the persona of Pharaoh the king of Egypt in the time of Moses. One time he would admit there is a God and in another moment he would deny God. This country is the spiritual Sodom and Egypt. Pray for Duterte and for this country!
